Kode is happy to lend out art from our collections to other institutions. Here, you'll get more information about how to apply.

Application

An application with a description of the exhibition must be filled out and include the following information:

  • name and contact information for the borrowing institution
  • exhibition and borrowing period (from date to date)
  • comprehensive list of works
  • facility report

The application and attachments are addressed directly to the museum director at laan@kodebergen.no . The application will be handled as soon as we have received all relevant information.

Application deadline

The application deadline depends on the number of works requested. Kode’s loan committee meets every second month and has the power of final decision.

For 1—5 works, the application must be received nine months before the exhibition takes place. For 6–10 works, the time is twelve months, and for more than 10 works, the application must be received eighteen months before.

Costs

There are certain costs connected to loans which the borrower must cover. Kode also charges an administration fee which covers processing costs. All costs are agreed upon before the loan agreement is signed.
