Born and raised in a musical family, Stefan Ibsen Zlatanos (b. 1984) learned to say the name of Bach before he could speak and began to take lessons since he was five. He later studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music under the guidance of Liv Glaser, and at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin with Galina Iwansowa.
According to his colleagues, Stefan is a versatile, expressive, and intuitively musical pianist. Ibsen Zlatanos is in high demand as a pianist, known for his versatility across a wide range of genres, including classical music, chamber music, jazz, contemporary music, and folk traditions from various countries, as well as more popular styles. In addition to performing, hecomposes his own music and creates arrangements of existing works. He did his CD debut in 2015. And you can hear some recordings on Spotify. He also trained as a singer for several years and is an accomplished choral conductor and organist. He holds a Master’s degree from the Norwegian Academy of Music, with additional studies at the Hochschule fürMusik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. His music has taken him to Greece, Spain, Italy, Azerbaijan, Germany, Poland, Turkey, Hungary, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovenia, Ireland, England, theNetherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and the United States.
