What´s on at Kode this summer

Visit the Kode art museums and Edvard Grieg´s Troldhaugen this summer!
Enjoy an overview of our exhibitions, concerts and outdoor activities.
What is open and closed?
The four art museums in the city centre are open, with various exhibitions and daily guided tours, both of the permanent Edvard Munch exhibition and the temporary exhibitions.
We also present classical concerts in the Frits Thaulow exhibition.
Edvard Grieg´s Troldhaugen is also open, but the historic villa itself is closed for rehabilition.
The main attraction is our concert program, featuring three daily concerts of Grieg´s music, starting 9 June.
You can still visit the museum and the café, enjoy guided tours of the garden and outdoor surroundings, or make use of the outdoors audioguide.
We plan to re-open the villa next summer, in 2027.
Harald Sæverud´s Siljustøl is open Sundays from 14 June-13 September for the summertime concerts in the composer´s home.
Ole Bull´s Lysøen is closed for rehabilitation.
What are the opening hours?
19 May–14 September:
The art museums:
Tuesday–Friday: 10.00–18.00, Saturday and Sunday 10.00–16.00
Edvard Grieg´s Troldhaugen:
Tuesday–Sunday 10.00–16.00
Harald Sæverud´s Siljustøl:
Sundays 10.00–16.00 (from 14 June-13 September)
Do I need several tickets?
No! One ticket covers admission to all museums for one day, Troldhaugen included, and costs 200 NOK.
Concert tickets for Troldhaugen are separate and costs 450 NOK, but also includes admission.
The daily guided tours of the exhibitions are included in the admission ticket.
What about children?
Bring the kids! All children under 18 have free entry at Kode.
We have our own audio guides and/or activity booklets for children in several of our exhibitions, which you can get at the receptions.
At the art museums
Visit Troldhaugen!
Edvard Grieg's museum at Troldhaugen is a must visit!
Even though the historic villa is closed for rehabilitation until summer 2027, there is plenty to experience.
The main attraction are the three daily concerts featuring Grieg´s music, performed in the concert hall.
You can choose between a concert with selected piano pieces by Grieg, or a piano performance of the Holberg suite.
The concert tickets cost 450 NOK, admission and guided outdoor tour included.
We also offer guided tours of the garden and outdoor surroundings.
The cafe in the museum building is open with hot and cold drinks, light lunches, sweet pastries and ice cream.
In the outdoor area, you can use a free audio guide, for both adults and children.

Join one of our many guided tours this summer, or experience classical music in the exhibitions!
Daily guided tours
From 19 May to 13 September, we offer daily guided tours of our Edvard Munch collection.
From 9 June, we expand our guided tour program to include more exhibitions: KUNST·HÅND·VERK, Frits Thaulow, and Vibeke Tandberg.
The tours are included in your admission ticket, which costs NOK 200.

Music in the exhibition
From 10 June to 21 August, we invite you to concerts in the Frits Thaulow exhibition, on Wednesdays and Fridays at 16:00.
Experience Norwegian and international Impressionist music, including works by Claude Debussy.
The concert ticket costs NOK 450 and includes admission to all our museums.
Sunday concerts at Siljustøl
Every Sunday from 14 June to 13 September we open the doors to composer Harald Sæverud´s fascinating home, outside of Bergen.
At 14.00, there is a concert performance in the main hall of Siljustøl featuring Sæverud´s music, performed by young award‑winning pianists.
The concert tickets cost 450 NOK, admission included.
