Exhibitions at the art museums

Kode has four art museums in the center of Bergen. You only need one ticket to visit them all.

Opening hours:

The art museums are open Tuesday to Sunday at 10am to 5pm.

Rasmus Meyer is open in the evening on Thursdays until 8pm.

Please note: Stenersen is closed, new exhibition opening 6 October.

Bring the kids!

All children under 18 have free entry at Kode.

We have our own audio guides and/or activity booklets for children in several of our exhibitions, which you can get at the receptions.

Visit Troldhaugen!

Edvard Grieg's museum at Troldhaugen is open Tuesday to Sunday at 10am to 5pm.

Tours of the villa are included in the entrance ticket.

The cafe is open with hot and cold drinks, light lunches, sweet pastries and ice cream.

In the outdoor area, you can use a free audio guide, for both adults and children.

Catch a boat to Lysøen!

Ole Bull's fairytale villa is still closed for rehabilitation but the island is still accessible with our boat!

The boat runs in the summer, Tuesdays to Sundays, between 11am and 4.30pm, until 15 September.

Lysøen has many nice paths you can walk along, and there are several swimming spots on the island.

We have a kiosk and toilets at the island, close to where the boat docks. The kiosk sells hot and cold drinks, local soft drinks, snacks and ice cream.

The boat costs NOK 80 for an adult round trip (while it is free for children and Kode members). Leaving from Buena Quay, where you may park your vehicle.

If you come with your own boat, we have a guest quay you can use.

Remember that it is not allowed to barbecue or use fire on Lysøen!
