Christian Grøvlen performs Wolfgang Plagge´s new work, at Siljustøl.
As Kode's first house composer in 2021, Wolfgang Plagge composed his ninth piano sonata "In Arduis" as a commissioned work. Now, he has written a sequel to the piece: "In Bello," which means "In Wartime."
With this, Plagge has created a poignant, dramatic, and important work. The sonata will have its first performance in the grand hall at Siljustøl with Christian Grøvlen.
Here, you can see and hear a glimpse from the first time Grøvlen performed Plagge's commissioned work from 2021:
On the program is also Weber's second sonata, one of the most beautiful romantic pieces for piano, and a sharp contrast to Plagge's profoundly relevant music.
