About the artist

Beloved Ingrid Bjørnov is an artist who has lived through several musical lives. She began as one half of "Dollie"; the award-winning pop duo from the eighties that later went to London's West End with their musical "Which Witch."

After that, she spent a few years working behind the scenes in both the theater and for Norwegian television before debuting as a solo artist around the turn of the millennium.

Three solo albums, four books, five solo shows, and six comedy awards later, she stands firmly as the country's reigning comedy pianist.

Bjørnov has gargled for the King and the homeland, played Grieg in reverse with Leif Ove Andsnes, and hung from the ceiling at Oslo Spektrum while playing on a grand piano. She has hosted TV broadcasts and business conferences, translated the songs for "Mamma Mia" to Norwegian, and co-authored a musical with the Norwegian comedian Are Kalvø.

Bjørnov is the founder of the "Dagsverk for Down" Foundation, an ambassador for SOS Children's Villages, and a high-heeled patron for the Oslo Fagottkor (a Norwegian choir).

In her spare time, she's a smallholder – managing a small farm.
