Welcome to a Christmas concert in Edvard Grieg's villa with soprano Lydia Hoen Tjore and pianist Ole Christian Haagenrud, Tuesday 27 December at 13.00.

Lydia Hoen Tjore was born and raised near Bergen. She started her studies at the Royal Danish Music Conservatory as early as 17 years old. At the Opera Academy, also in Copenhagen, she completed her studies in 2018 as one of the youngest ever. Lydia has been a trainee soloist at The Norwegian Opera, where she sang roles such as Adina, Zerlina, First Lady and Micaela. In 2021, she was a finalist in two international music competitions, the Vinceró World Singing Competition and Queen Sonja's International Music Competition. Lydia now works as a freelancer and was recently playing Violetta in La Traviata at Opera Nordfjord, and Micaela in Carmen at Opera Rogaland.

Ole Christian Haagenrud is considered one of the most promising young pianists in Norway today. He has his diploma education from the Norwegian Academy of Music, where he had Professor Jens Harald Bratlie and Professor Håvard Gimse as his teachers. Haagenrud has been a soloist with professional symphony orchestras such as Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Kringkastingsorkesteret, Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Belarus Chamber Orchestra, and he has collaborated with conductors such as Georg Mark and Lawrence Foster. Many of his concerts have been broadcasted on national and international, television and radio.
