The 1885 villa at Troldhaugen is the museum’s main attraction. The couple lived here the last 22 summers of Edvard Grieg's life.

The site is brimming with memories of Grieg. A large number of objects after the couple are conserved here, telling of a rich musical life.

Selected concerts are still performed in the villa on Grieg’s Steinway grand piano from 1892. Learn more about the grand piano in this video:

To visit the villa, you buy an entrance ticket in the museum.

In the villa, we have hosts working all the time, who will take you on a short tour.

You can visit the rest of the museum and the outdoor area with the same entrance ticket. The cafe and shop are also open.
