At Permanenten

Exhibition: Nordmandsdalen – Art, Power, and Materials in 18th-Century Denmark-Norway

6:00 PM – Lecture: Made in Norway
Want to learn more about Norwegian design? During Kulturnatt 2025, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the history of Norwegian design from 1850 to 2000 through ten objects from Kodes’s collection.

Join art historian Morten Spjøtvold, curator of decorative arts and design, for a 45-minute lecture on the subject. From 19th-century textiles and groundbreaking telephone design in the 1930s to the golden age of Scandinavian design and the Lillehammer Olympics — the lecture offers a fascinating overview of Norway’s design history.

The presentation is held in English and starts at 18:00 at Permanenten.

Twelve of these figures are part of Kode’s collection, acquired at different times and with unique histories.
