P.S. The villa is scheduled to reopen in summer 2027.

Edvard Grieg’s Troldhaugen is open this summer, although the historic villa itself is closed due to rehabilitation work.

Our main attraction is the concert program, featuring three daily performances of Grieg’s music.

You can choose between two different concert experiences, performed by award-winning young pianists:

10:15 and 12:00: Selected piano works

14:00: Holberg Suite

You can also visit the café, join guided tours of the gardens, or explore the grounds using our outdoor audio guide.

Below you will find more information on how to enjoy a wonderful day at Troldhaugen.

Bring the children to Troldhaugen!

The outdoor area offers plenty of space for little ones who want to move around, and the café has ice cream and other treats.

You can take a look at the villa and the composer’s hut, visit the grave of Edvard and Nina, and not least:

You can listen to stories through a free audio guide!

At the reception, you can borrow audio guides for both adults and children, to use at various outdoor stops.

P.S. Please remember to return them before you leave Troldhaugen!
